Vision Statement

The vision of the Social Justice Social Concerns (SJSC) Ministry is to empower every member of the St. Joseph Church community to live out his/her Baptismal call to serve others.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Social Justice Social Concerns Ministry is to sow the seeds of hope by loving our neighbors and caring for God’s creation. 
The mission is accomplished by:

• Creating or facilitating opportunities for members of St. Joseph to serve the local community
• Fostering partnerships with community churches/organizations to support individuals who are marginalized or in need
• Working cooperatively with other St. Joseph ministries/organizations to accomplish the SJSC mission

• Increase awareness of the SJSC Ministry and its mission
• Increase the number of active SJSC members
• Educate St. Joseph parishioners on the seven themes of Catholic social teachings
• Enhance the presence of St. Joseph in the community through additional outreach activities
